Webinar to spotlight the African Disability Protocol and SRHR Advocacy
On January 20, 2025, Liliane Fonds, on behalf of the Make Way Consortium, is hosting an online webinar to help deepen your understanding of the African Disability Protocol (ADP) and its potential in advancing Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for young people with disabilities.
This session will:
- Explore the key elements of the ADP and its impact on the rights and well-being of young people with disabilities.
- Highlight ways you can contribute to advocating for its ratification in countries where it has not yet been adopted.
- Discuss practical steps for supporting its full implementation in countries that have already ratified it.
Moderated by Vilda Atieno, a member of the Regional Youth Council, the webinar offers an excellent opportunity to engage with experts, share your insights, and connect with fellow advocates working to drive systemic change in disability rights across Africa.
Why attend?
The ADP is a groundbreaking legal instrument developed by the African Union to promote and protect the rights of persons with disabilities. This event provides a platform to connect, share insights, and ignite meaningful advocacy for the ADP’s adoption and implementation, ensuring a more inclusive future for all.
